Do I need a tutor who has personally taken STEP?
Not necessarily — though many research mathematicians did. What matters is a tutor who genuinely enjoys deep, multi-step problems and can teach you to persist through them. That is what STEP rewards, and what our mathematicians do for a living.
How are sessions run?
One to one, online or in London, booked by the session from your wallet. Your tutor is an active PhD or postdoc researcher — not a former student teaching on the side.
