- 4 years including a year abroad. English, History and ancient or modern languages recommended. If combining with a European language: admissions assessment at all Colleges (no advance registration) and 1 or 2 pieces of written work depending on the College; otherwise Clare, St Catharine's and St Edmund's ask for 1 piece and Downing, St John's and Trinity for 2 pieces of written work. At Robinson the only AMES languages offered are Chinese and Japanese. Some Colleges set higher offers or require an A* in a specified subject.
