- Typical offer range AAA–AAB. 4-year degree. Language entry: French, German, Spanish or Italian need an A-level in that language (grade B if taking two Core Sciences, A if taking one Core Science plus a "soft" science); Japanese or Mandarin need no prior study but evidence of linguistic ability (e.g. GCSE grade 7/A in a foreign language). If Chemistry is your only Core Science, an AAA offer is possible when you also take Geography, Psychology, Environmental Studies or Physical Education. Overlapping subjects (Maths with Further Maths, Biology with Human Biology) are not counted separately.
